OPHI 2021 Thanksgiving Pollinator Drawing Contest

For Thanksgiving this year, we wanted to let everyone know how thankful we are to have your support in our efforts to help monarchs and other pollinators in Ohio! With this in mind, we held a drawing contest for kids ages 12 and under. We are so thankful for the 80 amazing submissions we received.

First, congratulations to the winner of the OPHI 2021 Thanksgiving Drawing Contest, Noah Gibson, age 10, for his wonderful drawing of a hummingbird!

We're also pleased to announce our honorable mentions:

  • Danah, 3rd grade, Birchwood School of Hawken

  • Bee Wilcox, age 5, "Monarchs and Sunflowers on a Sunny Day”

  • Hadley Franks, age 10, "Motion"

Noah will receive a $40 gift card from our wonderful sponsor Miss Hairbrush! Miss Hairbrush offers drawing tools, coloring books, drawing tutorials and more, plus part of the proceeds from her awesome coloring skills coloring book and monarch butterfly coloring sheet helps support OPHI.

We were blown away with all of the great drawings and research that everyone did. It was a very hard decision to choose only a few from so many meaningful works of art. So we decided to show everyone's submissions in a slideshow. We are so proud and honored to know we have so many youngsters who are so knowledgeable about pollinators. We know that the future of pollinators will be in good hands!
